OUT on the Water
Out on the Water Sailing is very happy to announce the first professional sailing school and charter business in the nation directed at LGBT sailors. We are a gay owned and operated adventure-sports sailing company that encourages diversity and welcomes all students regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.Many of our charters are reserved for private parties, where the group is as diverse as the charterer chooses. All classes and select charters are sold with individual spots, giving everyone an opportunity to meet a diverse range of sailors. We work under the notion that sailors' abilities are best nurtured in an accepting environment—be that surrounded by other members of the LGBT community or straight allies. Most of our charters and lessons include gay patrons and we wish to promote an accepting, inclusive environment more so than an exclusive environment, which means that everyone (including straight!) sailors are equally as welcome aboard. Anyone can sign up for any offering. Also, every affiliate we work with knows that we run a gay-friendly sailing program. Whoever you are, it is all about the sailing with Out on the Water Sailing (maybe just a little more fantastic).
